Celebrations : Apres Ski-themed Bachelorette Weekend
I'm still buzzing with excitement from the most unforgettable bachelorette bash, and I'm excited to share some of the details in case you are planning a similar celebration soon! My friend Kitty, the radiant bride-to-be, is hands down one of the most fabulous souls you'll ever meet. And so, it's no wonder that she's surrounded by a bunch of equally incredible women! I think this is rare, especially with the dynamics and different personalities present in a group of 14, but it was such a stellar crew. I Ieft the weekend with so many new friends that I can’t wait to see again at the wedding!
Kitty's wishes were simple and heartfelt: a day shredding on the slopes, a little R+R at the spa, and quality time with her squad. Fortunately, her crew includes an experiential event planner extraordinaire and an honest-to-goodness chef. Does it get any dreamier than that?! Our itinerary was nothing short of perfection: slopes (complete with a bluebird day!), apres-ski cocktails, hot tub soaks in the falling snow, pampering spa treatments, and food fit for royalty. I’m still dreaming of the mouthwatering short ribs, savory chilaquiles, and decadent fondue cheese!
Naturally, I volunteered to be in charge of decorations since that’s totally my jam. Our theme, "Apres Ski with the Bride to Be," set the stage for a weekend of fun and frolic. Despite limited car space (ski weekends require a LOT of gear!), I packed the essentials: chic tableware to spare us from constant dishwashing, sentimental touches, goody bags from the bride, and a special little something for Kitty.
When it came to decor, I consulted Kitty on the vibe. Girly glam it was! I went all in with a palette of pink and gold, adding pops of teal for extra flair. It perfectly complemented the gorgeous chalet we called home for the weekend. My favorite touch? A hanging garland adorned with snapshots of Kitty and her squad, a testament to the bonds of friendship from childhood to present day! The nostalgia was palpable, and seeing Kitty surrounded by love was the ultimate reward.
Here's the rundown on our party essentials:
Gold-tone plastic cutlery (similar linked here)
Pink paper plates with scalloped gold edges (similar linked here)
Playful paper napkins my husband cleverly renamed “meowkins” - ha!
Luxe gold foil paper cups (similar linked here)
Iridescent circles garland (perfect for displaying those cherished photos)
Gold foil polka dot paper napkins (similar linked here)
Gold geometric pattern paper plates (similar linked here)
True to her thoughtful nature, Kitty wanted to do something nice for all the ladies who made the trek to Colorado to celebrate with her. So, I whipped up some Altitude (and possibly too-much-wine) Survival Kits that were a hit! Picture the scene: giggling gals sporting gold eye masks, rehydrating with Liquid IV, piling on chapstick, and exchanging stories of the night before. Perfection!
Our survival kits included:
Naturally, Kitty received her own Altitude Kit, but I wanted to add a touch of luxury to make her feel truly pampered. Anyone who's ventured to the mountains of Colorado during ski season knows just how bone-dry it can be up there. With that in mind, I curated a selection of indulgent treats, focusing on lavish moisturizers and practical items with a sprinkle of luxe.
Bride’s treat:
In hindsight, it was the camaraderie, fun personalities, and our love for the bride-to-be (and her fiance!) that made the weekend the most special. From heartwarming moments to side-splitting laughter, it was a celebration for the books, promising a happily ever after for our dear Kitty!
